hope you all had a happy Halloween. Me, I had an aikido mini-seminar...three hours of throwing and getting thrown around followed by a potluck.
My hands are still feeling the effects of squeezing 6 bags of oranges...I was asked to provide fresh OJ for the potluck. I was relieved at first because I thought it would be easier than making a dish. WRONG! I got three bags of oranges (about 6-7 each I think), calculated I'd need to make about 3000mL or 96 oz. of juice....after me & poor girl AC squeezed the 20 or so oranges we were about halfway there...this was after midnight...so I had to get up at 7:30 and get 3 more bags.
Halloween a bunch of us saw "Where the Wild Things Are"...was really good, I loved the monsters with their big expressive faces. And I grew up with that book.

I want to see Where the Wild Things Are, too, but I keep hearing disappointing things about it. Still...I do love Spike Jonez. My favorite favorite is Adaptation.
How'd the aikido seminar go, aside from the potluck?
