This has been a great week so far. Megan and I have finished moving into our new apartment and we couldn't be happier. Once we got the furniture in, we realize that we'd both underestimated how large the apartment is. We have so much space, we had to buy new furniture to fill it. It's great not sharing a place with a third roommate who...

dude....do you only update once a month? LOL

you should come to movie night.
I think I'm going to take a break from webforums in general. More frustration than they're worth, text does not always convey intended meaning, and people tend to be asshats, especially when they're surrounded by likeminded people who will cheer on their asshatted behaviour. I spend too much time on web forums anyways.
There goes my AIM connection again. I look forward to switching from...

Your artwork is fantastic. Your characters or the way they are drawn have sort of a British style to them - or am I just imagining that?
Anyway, you are a great artist. I do not know how anyone learns to draw that well so congratulations.

I finished that picture I had been working on the past couple weeks. I'm fairly happy with it. I also managed to squeeze in a comic page this week so I haven't fallen any further behind.
I've been spending too much recently. Got a videocard, an expensive Macross toy, and had one last expensive Christmas present to get someone. I should be alright until payday,...

That she is...

The entire comic has been updated with better, nicer, cleaner looking word balloons. I've also tweaked some of the artwork and dialogue.
I've also decided on a 26 page mini-comic format for the books, wich means they'll be a lot cheaper, look nicer, and I should have the second one ready by the time AnimeCentral rolls around.
I've been sick lately, otherwise I would have...

huh...that was really interesting. where'd you read/hear that?

hey. i was just passing through and checked out your sites.
your work is bad ass!
i really like the informal site quite a bit.
i also like the subdued pallete you're using. it all looks really good.
i am working on my first comic right now. i actually start a 16 day mini vacation that i'm dedicating to getting it done.
pretty excited...a little nervous.
do you have your comics printed or just web based?
i'm sure i'll have some good questions for you in a week or so.
heheh.

Tonight I fixed the first 10 pages of the webcomic, so as long as I don't find any more mistakes, that's pretty much how they'll look in the printed book.
I'm taking a break from that for now. though I certainly would not rule out fixing any more pages tonight. It's still pretty early. In the meantime, I might wrap some more Christmas presents.

Can't be. I distinctly remember finding the site before May 2002. I really want to say I found it in 2000, but I am definitely sure I knew of it in 2001. I suppose we could just ask.
I am less sure of 2000. But I found that Marie has a journal entry from January 29, 2002.

i'm not sure how i got to this page, but i really want to know what webcomic is yours. i read about a dz/day, and always love to waste more time.

Yo-ho-ho!
So, yeah, changed my user pic to reflect the holiday season (happiest time of the year, doncha know?).
Also, I updated page 22 of the webcomic. I'm much happier with this version of the page. Totally redrew the last panel. Sometime in the near future I'll be switching to a PHP format for the comic, so that'll cut down on HTML files taking...

Thank you
(and especially appreciated today, when my flatiron broke and humidity caused the hair to turn into an unrully mess of curls and frizz!)

Well, back from the Thanksgiving feast. I had a great time and look forward to getting to those left overs. Unfortunatewly, we got back somewhat late and asleep even later, so I'll have to do the whole work thing a little groggy tonight.
Ah well, plenty of sleep tomorrow. Hopefully I'll still be able to get some work done on the comic this weekend, so...

I really just don't understand how someone could not love SpongeBob... like, my first reaction is to think that it's just them being stubborn and refusing to give a children's show a chance, but I realize it could be more than that...
Out of curiosity, how did you stumble into my profile?
"Whole work thing" as in going to your job? Like, third shift? Or work as in... at home type work?

I finished the latest page of the webcomic, so I'm still 4 weeks ahead of the current update. The update is on Saturday! I rather like the next page, but I'm really looking forward to getting pages 34 and 35 up.

I liked your stuff that you posted in the artist group.
I had a friend that went to the A.I. of Pittsburg....
His name was Ben.
I bet you don't know him.
He's really good at that Anime type stuff too.
I personally don't go for it myself,
but I can recognize quality.
I'm glad you mentioned Don Bluth, as well.
I have a history with that studio, I guess you could say.
It seems people have sorta forgotten how awesome it used to be.

Your stuff rocks man. Hope you have a good holiday. yes....turkey turkey turkey.
I'm back, and now I bring a webcomic!
That's probably the biggest bit of news. Since my original SG subscription ran out I've also moved to a new apartment, I'm currently planning to move to yet another new apartment at the end of this lease. I'm at a job remarkably similar to my old MCI gig, yet minus everything (yes, everything) that made me...

So yeah, things are coming together for My Year of Art. I've got a job, I'll work that part time, and I've just been doing plenty of art ever since leaving my last job.
I've got some concerns with my soon to be changing living situation, but I'm confident that things will work out.

Three days, three new pictures. I hope that whatever job I wind up at next doesn't suck my soul out like MCI did. I haven't been this productive in years.
I've also been cranking out pages for the latest draft of my comic book.
