Woohoo! No more working on weekends! It was really nice to sleep until 2PM today, I haven't done that in a while. I saw the original Japanese version of The Ring last night (Ringu) and I was not impresed at all.. Come to think of it.. I didn't like the american version all that much either.. Oh well..
So today I think I'm going to stay home and do laundry.. I know.. such an exciting life I have.. I'm just happy to not be working. BTW.. if you haven't checked out MKILA's set, you should do so immediately! All I can say is I'm in lust
I got an interesting offer for a place to spend my summer.. A friend of mine found me a 31 Ft. sailboat for rent and it's only $300 a month! That's stupid cheap! I could live on it all summer! Right now it's docked near Penns Landing, so I'm going to have a look at it tomorrow afternoon. If nothing else, it's a cheap place to stay in the city. That means I can keep my stuff here and not worry about finding another house till the summer is over. I don't think I could sail to save my life, but hey.. it's got a motor.. and free Wifi internet access at the marina.. what more could I ask for..
My trip to Chicago has been cancelled due to the client not having sent me the deposit, so I think I'll spend a couple of days in NYC instead. There are a couple of shows comming up that I'd like to see anyway. As muchas I'd like to see my friends from Chicago, I just don't see how going out there and not getting paid for it is going to be productive.. I'd rather wait and let the client get his shit together. Speaking of clients.. I talked to a real pain in the ass yesterday! He wanted structured wiring installed in his apartment, 4 network drops, etc. and apparently he was thinking he could get someone to do it all for $300 because when I told him $650 he totally freaked out. I really didn't feel like arguing with him over a job that's not even worth my time, so I told him to call someone else. I need to do that more often, I'd probably have less stress if I did.
Well, I'm off to do laundry and watch DVD's. Hope everyone has a great weekend.
