life is one big joke

SCREE
I am tired and sore, i slept very little and did this today:
Andy and i started at Guanella Pass (11669') around 06:30 and took our ascent on the west slope to Mount Bierstadt(14060') which is a class 2 with 3.5 miles and 2850' of elevation gain (walking on ground isnt always going uphill, we know 14060 - 1169 is not 2850). We summited around 08:40 which is crazy speed in subzero temperatures for Andy's 1st 14er. I ended up leaving him there around 09:15 to decent the northeast slopes along the Sawtooth Ridge to 13200' elevation (a class 3 traverse) with some other climbers who were sorta slow, and climbed back up the west slopes of Mount Evans (14264', a class 2) gaining a total of 6.1 miles by 11:05. There were two false summits above 14000' from this approach. The elevation gain from hiking the sawtooth is around 1260'. After turning around I started climbing again around 13400' and summited Mount Spalding (a centennial peak at 13842' and a class 2 hike that should be rated class 1) gaining another 490' of elevation by 12:20. I then returned over the Sawtooth to Bierstadt at 1:10 for a total of 9.7 miles and almost 5620' of elevation gain. I ran into Dani and her mom and walked with them down towards Guanella Pass. It was fun to socialize after not talking to anyone for so long. Got back to the car around 03:10 where andy was patiently waiting and totaled 13.2 miles. He got free subway for being so patient and kicking ass on the mountain.
