So, when it comes to beer, I'm usually kind of picky. Regular beer is a complete no-go for me. I just don't like the taste at all! There are, however, a few exceptions.
Reallyreallyreally cold Corona, with a slice of lemon or lime.
Desperados, or Desperados verde.
Once in a while a nice pint of Guinness.
And then, the one I drink the most ( which still isn't that often) is called around here "Radler". Not sure if there is a translation for that, although dict.cc tells me, it's called shandy. It's actually just beer mixed with fruit juice, usually in a 50/50 or even 40/60 ratio. An I LOVE the one with grapefruit. It works so well with beer, and because it's more juice than beer, it's really easy to drink and the most refreshing thing ever for hot summer days.
But now, I've read a few homeworks about your favorite beverages and one thing kept popping up again and again. IPAs.
Now, my knowledge when it comes to varieties is little to none, so I kept looking around. Obviously, this us nothing you stumble across in supermarkets (or at least not around here) but I found a store, that specialises in all kind of different beer. I had no idea...
So after looking at some of the descriptions, I settled for 4 different variations, all from the same brewery. And I'm the first to admit, I was sold by their labels alone.
No let's see... there is:
Baja (an oatmeal stout, 5,8%)
Ond (a smoked porter, 6,3%)
Rudeen (a black IPA, 7,4%)
And the one I just had to try, because the description sounded soooo delicious:
Kramah (an IPA, 6,5%)
I will try to post update-blogs as I try them!
(And if anyone has recommendations, please do tell! Especially if they are somewhat easy to obtain around here in Europe. 😅)
