Hmmm... the geese are flying. At the moment its only north to the lakes to roost for the evening, but that means that soon they'll turn south. Doleful honking is very much a part of the Ottawan eveningscape now.

Odd how moving to a new country gives you new seasonal markers. Back in the UK it was always the sudden evening silence after the swifts...
