well, i'm in portland.

it's been pretty crazy this past week. been running around trying to deal with the stuff my mom has in storage, then deal with a bunch of family drama, then try to find a van, then comparison shop for car insurance, then more family drama (including an aunt that was just diagnosed with cirrhosis because of her drinking & trying to find a rehab place for her that she can afford), then trying to get some of my stuff back from jason, then... well, a whole lot else. with some fun times in between, naturally, with friends new and old-- including someone i met in chicago who just happened to be moving to portland at the same time & who i could unload some of my mom's unwanted stuff upon... and who's also an avian neurobiologist. i swear, my entire pool of friends consists of either musicians or bird geeks. wtf, really. and the person in question is both, so wtf doubly so.

anyhow. i did buy a van. it sounds like a boat and it has a skull and cross-bones spray painted on the back door. which is awesome, but i'm still not sure if it's as awesome as the second runner-up.
