louys tagged me. You know the drill by now, no?
Twenty interesting things about myself:
1. i have two grocery bags full of parsley in my fridge right now
2. i got married in vegas 3 days after my 18th birthday.. my 20th birthday and thus our 2nd anniversary is coming up soon.
3. a year from now I'll probably be living in a treehouse we built ourselves, in a rainforest, without electricity or running water... indefinitely.
4. i don't have perfect pitch, but i do have really great relative pitch.
5. i carry a jew's harp around in my purse
6. when i was a kid, my friend kelsie and i unravelled 8 boxes of her mom's yarn all over her backyard, in a giant web. Strangely, I don't remember her mom being too upset about it.
7. i used to make lists of everyone i know and what i know about them, then go off on tangents imagining/speculating stories about their lives. i haven't written any down in a long time, but I still think about it.
8. i hate telephones. i can't remember the last time i used one to talk to anyone but my husband.
9. i like being wrapped in plastic wrap.. for sexual purposes. i don't think i'd like to pee on your dog, though.
10. i'm so sensitive to MSG that if I went out and had a bucket of KFC and a diet coke, it'd surely be my last meal.
11. i'm an archer
12. i dropped out of highschool. i had something like a 3.98 GPA at the time, before I did, halfway through my junior year. At every shool I've been to, I left abruptly without telling any of my friends. i still use my homeschooler's card to get the student discount at the art supply store.
13. i have a criminal mind, eventhough i very rarely break the law, and only in inconsequential ways. Schemes constantly come to me.
14. a band i was in has played live on a major radio station. whoop-dee-doo. i play cello. we played coltrane's Naima, an old pirate chantey that we arranged, and a song i wrote called "monky" because i was on a big t. monk kick at the time.
15. i'm double-jointed, but know no charming party tricks to display this fact.
16. My husband and I have basically created our very own system of folk music and dance. We joke about going to a club and dancing our silly dances we made up.. but they're not just random. There's a complex system behind them, and they evolve over time.
17. I sometimes wonder aloud about what would happen if, while at a stop light, I got out of our car and crawled into the bed of a pickup truck that was in front of us, and started eating crackers, Would the driver kick me out of bed for eating crackers? what if I didn't eat crackers? Would they kick me out "just because"? Or would they just keep driving?
18. Once I had to change my clothes in the car 'cause what I was wearing was just too hot. I tried to wait for a stretch where I could be relatively discreet and not cause a car accident (i wasn't driving, of course, but you know what I mean ), but I hadn't noticed that there were a couple dozen people with pro-choice signs standing on the overpass waving to cars.. and jason started honking at them! I think they just thought I was flashing them for the cause
19. At various points in my life, I've looked into becoming: A luthier, a baker (specifically of elaborate novelty cakes), a lighthouse keeper, a park ranger (specifically a fire lookout keeper), a fish counter (i'm sure there's a fancy name for it, but you sit in a dam and count the fish that go by), a teacher, a buddhist nun, an anthropologist (various fields), an ethnomusicologist, and probably a whole slew of other occupations that I'm forgetting.
20. sometimes i sleepwalk and have night terrors.
Most of you probably already knew half of that, but oh well.
I tag: VitaminE, lamdalamdalamda, billyfivecrows, Cheech, Juliette, auralpleasure (welcome back!), Kay, triangle_man, hellfaerie, Inignitable, Jah and Qato.. and Fatality eventhough I suspect she's already been "tagged" by someone else. So go list 20 things in your journal, and tag someone else, or 5 people, or your whole friends list for all I care. If you want, that is. I certainly won't put a curse on you if you don't do it.
