Easier to decide which is my favorite limb.
I love food, I love eating.
When I was a kid we ate out so very much. Its strange to think about how much of my childhood took place at the Emperor Diner in East Meadow, or Gam Wah, or at that Polynesian place we used to go on Hempstead Turnpike. Or the little diner on the golf course.
My folks love Sunday breakfast out. They find a place they like, then go until they get sick of it and move on. Its been that way all my life. My favorite was their Marietta Diner phase. That one lasted quite a while, and I think they only stopped going because it became so popular that the
When I was a kid, restaurants meant pancakes, fried clams, onion rings, Chinese food and, occasionally, Roy Roger's fried chicken. I think I would avoid Roy Rogers these days now that I'm a grown up, but in 1978 it was ambrosia to me.
Me, I love to cook at the house. I love to roast a chicken in cast iron. I love to bake corn bread, oatmeal, and couscous.
I have just a few recopies that I have really crunched down into something very personal and delicious. I have a hybrid pancake recipie that I have crunched for years until, to my taste anyway, its sublime. I love making a pot roast on a snowy day, I love to simmer soup. I make pita pizzas with the care some fools use for souffles. I love to make excellent sandwiches. I am allergic to eggs, but I am very proud of my omelets.
I am very proud of my: ragout, tofu stir fry, vindaloo, curry chicken, beans and greens, fish tacos, french bread, granola, pasta,
My favorite holiday is Thanksgiving, and here is how I like it to go. I offer to cook the whole meal, but everyone who volunteers to help is welcome, and I pour wine and shots all night for everyone. I love sharing the experience of it.
Anyway, I'm done talking about it for now.
hope all are well,

Taoist thought of the day: Do not worry overmuch about the quality of your food and drink. Learn to love what is at hand.
Pet Report: Bobbi the Puggle still drives me crazy. On the one hand she's very sweet, protective, the bravest dog I have ever owned, sweet, and universally loved in the neighborhood. On the other hand she is a cat shit eating, garbage raiding, cat bothering, pushy, yappy, unruly excuse for a family dog.

This blog I'm introducing a new little bit, my I Fucking Hate column. Its very untaoist of me, but SG is where I come to be my realest real, so here goes.
I Fucking Hate: My arch-enemy. I will not sully my blog with his name. Fuck that pompous game snob of a backyard wrestling douche. Shut up shut up shut up.
