Ok I don’t normally do this, but I think it’s actually quite fitting for the year. So here goes @bloghomework, my new year’s resolutions. @missy @rambo @lyxzen
I want to quit smoking cigarettes for real. I stopped smoking around 18, and for some reason I started again as a casual smoker around 26. I’ve been a ‘casual smoker’ for 4 years now. It has to stop!
(Yeah I know this is a cigar.)
I gotta drink a lot less than I do. It’s not that I drink that much, but I drink regularly. I’ve been taking medication everyday for a year now, and my stomach is having a hard time. Alcohol is certainly not helping.
The next two resolutions were heavily influenced by the fact I’m now in school full-time and last semester was pretty hard on me.
I gotta stop smoking weed, at least during the semester. I was lacking motivation during fall cause I thought the courses were boring, but, hey, smoking everyday sure didn’t make the concentration easy.
I will register in a weekly sports class, taking advantage of very low fees at the university. I don’t serve tables anymore, and I miss moving around. During fall I played some sport games with school friends one day, and when I got back home, my brain was really awake and it was one of my most productive days. This WILL be done. I also think paying for a class, with an instructor, will motivate me to keep it steady, as a specific timeslot will solely be attributed to that, whereas doing it around the house, it’s easy to just decide to do something else.
I should start reading comic books again. I read plenty. I don’t read a lot of books during a year (I’m always busy and read slow), but I’m always in the process of reading a book. However, I haven’t read a comic in maybe a year or so. And I have plenty of great comics waiting for me at home. Got a few series I should finish, some I should start. It would do me good.
Finally, I want to keep taking pictures of beautiful ladies, and always find the time to see my friends and play board games. Those are easy because I do them already, of course, but resolutions shouldn’t always be a challenge. I want to make sure I don’t lose sight of the important things in my life. It’s more important to maintain what good you’ve already got started rather than always trying to be different.
Also, people, don’t be so hard on yourselves. We evolve slowly. Just don’t give up on your goals yet. ;)
May 2015 be good to you all! xx
