i don't feel like being here now.
someone here kind of hurt my feelings today.
no, cypher, it wasn't you.
but it is someone whom everyone is quick to defend, so i can't even say anything about it.
please don't ask me who. i don't want to talk about it. it's really nothing- i'm just way too sensitive sometimes.
my husband's gonna be on the air tonight, for the first time in about 2 years. since he hasn't been on the air in so long, his show is probably gonna sound REALLY bad, just as mine probably will when i start doing radio shows again. we've both dj'ed-a-plenty since we last been on kalx, but there's a HUGE difference between dj-ing on the radio and dj-ing anywhere else. there's so much other shit you have to remember to do besides just playing music. his show is much different than mine- he tends to mainly play punk & rockabilly, while i play that and everything else, and his on air personality is really goofy (actually, i sometimes CRINGE when i hear his mic breaks, b/c he's so much more annoying on the air than he is in real life!). not that my personality on the radio is all that great- a couple of people have said that i sound really bored with the music i play, and one guy i know said i sound like something just happened to me that really pissed me off. anyway, i don't always like to listen to his show, but i think his light-hearted goofiness is just the kind of thing i need right now. yeah...that sounds good.... a night of sabrina the teenage witch, hot chocolate, and rick sylvain...

Good luck to your hubby and his dj show (but I bet you kick his ass, yes?)
I think the sort of style I am leaning towards is like that of DJ Irene, only at times the music I pick gets more melodic and dreamy...sort of like DJ Irene's feminine side or something.
