My room is in the basement, and the 3 walls that surround my bed are gross and unfinished. I covered one with a big afghan when I first moved in, and I have a couple prints to hang on another, but I'd been trying to think of something cool to do with the main wall. Well, I was futzing around online tonight, came across an ee cummings archive, and starting mooning over his poetry. <3

I finally got the idea to pull out these old homemade paper samples I bought for an art project years ago, and copy one of his poems on each one. Then I'll either tack them on to the wall so that they cover every surface, or if my landlord doesn't mind, I'll just decoupage them right to the wall like wallpaper.

That line was the last one I wrote out tonight. It felt like a good stopping point.

Nah, the fundraiser I went to is called Cruise Night. They do it like once a month, I think. There's a little cookout behind Javaspeed, and the roller derby girls serve hamburgers and hotdogs on their skates. Then, at like 10pm, there's an afterparty at the Penalty Box down the road, and they have a few bands play. It's a good time. I still keep meaning to go to one of the derby bouts, but I keep having plans whenever they have them.

thank you!! i think that wraps it up for major social events this summer...can't say i'm disappointed. her husband is gradually moving all his stuff in and is basically living here now. i'm good friends with both of them but the dynamics of 3 people and 1 bathroom, plus all those other little roommate issues can get touchy. I'm well aware of this and don't want any of us to start resenting each other, so i'm looking to find a place and be mostly out by the time they get back from their honeymoon. sucks though, i love my place .

i had no idea the schedule extended past june/july...psyched!! i'm going to try and make it happen...most likely in late july when all the wedding stuff is over. i'll keep you posted

I felt the need to change my entry but didn't have anything I felt like sharing, so I did a google image search for "spring." It's not what I was thinking of, but it's far more interesting than any of the other options.

The Lifestyle is an amazing amount of fun... who woulda thought!

As for work, it's going great! Just took over a big project today as the technician who was here is on his way down to Utah to do a job, so there's a good amount of work on my plate at least for the next six weeks, and I scored some big points with the dispatcher by taking this one over as it is a high maintenance job. But life is really good.

PawSox? I'm guessing MLB.... that would be sweet... we don't get anything interesting in Red Deer!

Oh, and i DID have a hat!! But I forgot to wear it, even just for a picture or two. Such a shame.
