Teaching is taking up all of my time. I probably don't need to take as much time as I do to prep my lectures, but I have this fear of running out of shit to say... but, I usually end up with three times what I need. I gave them their first quiz last week, and of course I get the usual "I didn't expect this" or "It's to long." Etc. Idiots, I told them exactly what was going to be on it, some questions verbatim. Because this is summer school, most think that this class will be easy and that I should just hand out grades. Most people in school today have no real desire to actually learn. We need to start directing more folks to vo-tec type schools which are better suited for many.
