Yeah, she is. Sadly I don't know how to mend a broken heart. If I knew mine would be mended, but, and I am not at all kidding here,Benni helps. I have had my own not so recent heartbreak, going on a year now and no one has helped me to get over it as much as she has. Considering the fact that our friendship is of necessity in many ways superficial, it is a true testament to how great a person she is. I really didn't expect it to help & this may sound crazy and actually prior to this backfired on me at least once, but here goes....look for someone who reminds you of whoever broke your heart and just be around them, even if it makes you sad sometimes, it has a cathartic effect. When I first met Benni she did said some things that reminded me of my heartbreaker and I deliberately sought her out after that. I believe it helps in two ways, it helps you to remember good and bad times and maybe allows you to let loose some anger, pain or whatever.
Second, and I am only now beginning to appreciate this, but if you can find people who remind you of someone you loved eventually once you get to know them you will appreciate not only the qualities they share with your lost love but also everything that is unique and wonderful about them and chances are that being around someone who shares qualities that you already admire is going to help you to feel better. It certainly has worked wonders for me.
