What's wrong with me? This entire week I have been nothing short of a hormonal basketcase. From my last post about not having any friends, to just not knowing what the hell I'm doing from day to day (emotionally). I think I need to just go and cry for a day straight or something.

DAMN HORMONES!!! mad

Well, I'm not sick anymore, but what does it matter. i don't really have any friends in this town, all I do is wake up and go to work and come home and go to sleep.

Seems like a waste of time for me to even try to be social online or whatever.

but didn't this whole thing start in Portland? It sucks being away from friends. I know. I've relocated 5 times in my life... and this summer will be 6. EVERY time I've been on my own without job.. .no wonder why I have so many grey hairs.. .

This time I'll be without job but moving with someone. Interesting. But you know what I have a quote for this...

"if you are going through hell, keep going" - Winston Churchill

I think that about sums it up. Sometimes I like being depressed. Haven't been in a while but I like the solitude. The thinking. I don't mind sometimes.

Sorry to hear about that. Having trouble meeting people in Portland? This is going to sound really dorky, but have you tried the SG Portland group? I've met lots of cool people through the SGNY group. I don't know how active the PDX one but SG social events are a great way to meet new folks.

Well, I should be moving into my new home this weekend. Unfortunately, my car is just barely able to go a few miles before it starts overheating. So, how do I get all my stuff out of storage, which is miles away?

If I had more money, I'd rent a wreck.

I'm just going to be a moody bitch for the next couple of days, so excuse my absence.

When I'm feeling better, I should try to get around to actually trying to catch up with everyone on my friends list and previous commentors.

sigh...I'm missing my friends back in Santa Cruz...I'm missing my Monday night Goth club...I'm missing all the drama that I wanted to get away from...sigh

making friends is always such a task, it just reminds me that I've never lived anywhere in my life longer than 4 or 5 years

So did ya find a good temple?
I've got a buddah bug at the moment.
I've got a bit of a korean buddhist background.
I'm curious to see if any local temples practice in the Korean style.

Well, to my surprise, I was called back to the job that let me go during training last week, but for a different project. So now I have 3.5 wks of training from 3-midnight.

And they better damn well not give the run around on this one or I won't go back.

I need permanent work damnit. mad

So what kind of work is this you're doing at night?
I work the swing at a bank operations center but a lot o' folks work the late shift there.
Did you find a place of your own in this town yet? I saw that you were looking for a place or a roomate or something.
Hope everything is working out for the best here. c-ya

I don't know. I'm getting really depressed. I haven't felt this sad in a long time. I feel like crying, but I don't have anyone's shoulder to cry on. I'm only lucky that my friend is cool with me staying...

i've done the 'getting to know you' all over again in Vancouver, Tokyo, Beaune France, Victoria, and London.

it's gets harder as you get older because everyone wonders why you don't already have friends? why aren't you settled down? why aren't you in your own damn country making babies and living in suburbia....

also... I do already have friends.. and they live scattered across the planet and I am sad we are not together and making more friends I'm just going to leave makes me sad too. So sometimes I try NOT to make friends to save the pain of goodbye... but then I end up making friends anyway...

sigh...

good luck with the new city thing.... kiss

KING:

Oh, better far to live and die
Under the brave black flag I fly,
Than play a sanctimonious part
With a pirate head and a pirate heart.
Away to the cheating world go you,
Where pirates all are well-to-do;
But I'll be true to the song I sing,
And live...
