Gracias! Last night was actually pretty fun: two friends had screenings of their new movies and though we (me + date) could only make one movie, we hit both afterparties and had a good time.
Strangely, although I do get these kind of invites (hard not to, what with living here and doing what I do and stuff) I almost never make the effort to go out and DO this sort of thing. The hassle factor usually keeps me locked safely in my hermitage entertaining myself or a friend or two.
Is "sociable loner" an accepted construct? Hey: if not, then I'm MAKING it one.
Yeah, I think math is an awesome foundation for developing the analytical, philosophical and practical skills needed for modern-day mysticism. Of course, math is also incredibly freakin' beautiful, but, sadly, as you mentioned, so many people never learn to truly appreciate it.
