This morning I woke to a calm, a release, I have not known in many months.
The decision is final.
Women, or rather romance of any kind, will cease to be a concern which occupies ANY part of me.
Much like when I cut emotion completly out of my life my Junior year in undergrad and simply lived a pothead, homoerotic existence with my buddy Chris Morris in a small apartment in Santa Fe, NM.
I will write, read, and appreciate art and complete my Masters without ANY romantic distractions, without a woman, without love and I can see now how good it will feel... I'm not convincing myself of this, it is just the way it must be.
I LOVE my Pro-Pain photos!
Yeah, some of them are blurry, but it's artsy- y'know?
I fuckin' can't WAIT for the Throwdown show!
I'm gonna try and video tape that shit so it can go on my many comp DVDs of Creepy Crawl shows I've shot (along with Prong, Dead To Fall and Diecast).
And I've made the decision to go to the Chuck Berry show on March 24th at Blueberry Hill.
He is the INVENTOR of rock'n'roll, after all, and I haven't seen him in years and I know I need to.
Chuck Berry makes me feel good and his shows are ALWAYS cathartic.
Watched an early 90's flick called DEF BY TEMPTATION last night. Not too good. Had Kadeem Harrison and Sam Jackson in it, though.
Still not too good, though.
Kind of uneven and didn't really do much for me.
Cheesy as hell, too, but with no standout redeeming qualities.
However, the wonderful 80's werewolf movie MONSTER DOG came out this past week. It's got Alice Cooper in it doing all these wanna be Iggy Pop songs and shooting bikers with a shotgun and fighting werewolves. It actually kinda spooked me out (when I was 15) but it's actually not a bad 80's horror flick... as far as those go, and there were some truly awesome ones (PUMPKINHEAD, NIGHT OF THE DEMONS, NEAR DARK, RE-ANIMATOR, EVIL DEAD and COMPANY OF WOLVES all come to mind).
I am hella psyched for this one. I bought the video from a Blockbuster when I was 15 and it's in this big, porno-lookin' box.
Dammit, I love Alice Cooper!
Seen the man 3 times live and it NEVER gets old!
Well, I'm probably gonna make $80 tonight doing something illegal, so I plan on getting a hair cut (just an inch below my ears) and getting my Chuck Berry ticket.
Other than that, last I checked, sleeping, reading and writing were all free activities so I'm not a very expensive date...
