I put in an order for a decked out T43. It is super-discounted and totally sweet. I also wrote a polite letter to Toshiba asking them what they are going to do to fix my extremely broken, just barely out of warranty laptop. I expected to recieve in return an equally polite form letter that told me to get fucked. Instead, I got a phone call about three weeks later from the manager of toshiba america customer relations telling me that they are going to fix my computer for me, parts and labor, completely free of charge.
So now, I have a dilemma: the T43 ships on the fourth of July. Do I:
A: Stop the T43 from shipping, and just stick with my toshiba, which I really do like a lot.
B: Let the T43 ship, and try to sell it still unopened on Ebay. The computer i''m getting seems to go for arount 1800, i'm getting it for 1500.
C. Let the T43 ship, and try to sell my newly fixed Toshiba, prices seem more variable, but anywhere from 500-800 seems like the possible range.
After this post, no more boring computer talk. Few enough people look at my journal anyways. I can't risk a decline in readership.
