I don't think you're nuts for allowing said husband to go on the trip with them. I would too. My sis (who got burned by cheating hubby..) thinks my stance on this sort of thing is dumb , but I prefer to think of it as freedom. Our marriage is very strong and I trust him , I guess until he does something untrustworthy. we allow each other alot of freedom and I don't think I could be in a marriage any other way.
btw , my two toddler boys will for sure bankrupt us later when teens because they are eating machines now, thank goodness they like healthy food, which is actually cheaper than processed shit.
