I come bearing stories!
I just got back from an amazing adventure with my mom. We traveled to busy land of Starbucks, where coffee flows from the creeks freely and the smell of mocha is abundant. Milk in all forms sit patiently waiting for their turn inside of fresh beverage....
And I'm done with that.
But my mommie and I went to Starbucks today, and after we order our drinks and found a place to sit down and converse, we both look to see this nice looking couple next to us, with a baby. The baby was looking me, like intensely. It was adorable, large brown eyes with playful tones, like he wanted to play. The sweetest thing I've ever seen, and on the top list of cutest babies I've even seen in real life. We entered a small game of hide and go seek, and then his parents turned to us and started talking to my mother mostly. I was actually having a moment with a baby. They let me hold the little guy, and then gave him to my mom. His name was Dryden, and he was born in Africa. His parents are apart of this church program that sends to them to all these places to help rebuild their homes and help them find religion. Give them something. So, it made sense to my why the baby wasn't freaking out that a black person was holding him. No joke, babies freak out. Their first encounter with a black person is so...funny. We chatted with them for a bit and then they left.
There was an old guy in the seat close to them, who my mom and I noticed had fallen asleep. I don't know what happened, but next thing I know, he was awake and talking with my mom. So it was inevitable that I get in the conversation. Well we found out that he's German, he's helped Jews, has children over twice my age, visted many places, and well not racist. He said the word 'negro' a few times, but it was fine. I was expecting him to say 'coloured' really. But he had so many stories, of all the people he's meet in his life, his morals and views. It was simply amazing. Its not often you meet a person of a different era, willing to talk to you. He was something else though.
That's all I have to say. So far its been a good day. Yesterday was a shitty day. I lost my car keys, slept most of the day away and was drained because of it, and just extremely moody. I almost cursed out my mom... And well, that would have been... so bad. SO BAD!
I got some new pendants and charms from the store that I am gonna mess with. Hope you are all doing well.
Love, peace, and chicken grease.
