Forget fireworks, we got exploding Twinkies...

Fourth of July went pretty good. Had a bit of fun but was pretty tired due to staying out late after bowling (and winning) the day before. Ended up having to fix the basket ball machine, twice. Oh for some loc-tite! Darn screws kept coming loose but it's july and that does tend to happen about this time of season. The Twinkie cannon was the shiznit! Nothing better than blasting 3 year old, rock hard, Twinkies out of a pipe at 300 psi. Quite cool. Got to play around with the new mini-DV camera too. The menus are not at all intuitive and it's really kind of frustrating having to read the darn book to figure out how to work all the intricacies. Guess I'll manage with time.

Saturday went to the coffee house to watch Zimm play. He's got some great songs. Got it all on video too, just barely. Halfway through the encore song the tape said 0 minutes but it kept on recording until the end of the song, like 2 more minutes. Yay! It had me worried there for a bit that it was going to run out mid-song.

Watched Amelie again last night. That movie is awesome. Very fun, creative, and clever. One of the people I watched it with had never seen it. He saw some parody skit of it on S.N.L. and wasn't at all interested in seeing the movie. He was pleasantly surprised and loved the movie after watching it.
