After a couple weeks of being down and out with a cold I'm finally starting to feel better
Our week of field ops is starting to come to a close which means I'll be getting home at a more normal time allowing me to spend more time with my lovely wife before she sets off to her new job. I'm really proud of the fact that she was able to land such a great job, and from what I gather she already likes everyone that she's met that works there. Once a couple things get settled we can start taking our house hunting endeavour more seriously. We've seen a few houses we like, but every couple days it seems like another possible future home of Mr. and Mrs. PiratePete shows up. All I'm really concerned about is that we'll be moved in before I deploy in July. I don't think that it will take that long to close escrow once we find a place but better safe then sorry.
Right now this one has my vote, but my wife really likes this one.

I am so excited for her that she was able to get such a fabulous job. I knew that she would be snapped up if she interviewed with some reasonably smart people, of course finding reasonably smart people....
As for the houses, I'm with you on the one you like. I really like the enclosed porch and the lot. How's the kitchen in that one? It has more space and I think you guys will want that extra space too. And it's newer.
Good luck with the hunting.
