Yup its Monday again, it seems like I'm managing to update on a weekly basis. I guess that's better then going weeks on end without saying anything. Today I took care of the last of a couple big things as far as our upcoming wedding so I'm pretty happy about that I'm not so happy that today being Monday the world had to throw me another curve ball. I had planned on finishing up our crew break room since we had the refrigerator and microwaves out of the room. It was some awful corn-yellow paint that may have been popular back in 1974 with some not so awful but twice as dull grayish blue paint that our officer in charge decided the clinic needed to be painted in (actually its not that bad a color) when I got tasked with going to LA to pick up a guy that flew in a little early... he actually wasn't due to arrive at the clinic till the 18th of December. I know we're supposed to show up early for things in the military but this was just a bit too early, that and the fact we didn't find out we were going to have to go get this guy till about noon made it a little more interesting. I didn't leave to get this guy till almost 2:30 in the afternoon putting me in LA with all the world famous traffic. To make matters worse this guy decided that he was going to try and catch a bus out to the base (not going to happen) and was at a Grayhound station somewhere in downtown LA. I know LA a little bit, but not that well (did I mention how much Map Quest sucks?) and the directions I got took me down the 5 freeway and over to the 110 to get on the 101 and then back onto the 5 again Didn't make much sense to me why we needed to go that way, and it still doesn't after doing it. Of course we missed our exit because the signs weren't lit and there was not only construction going on around the exit but the traffic was wonderful fun. Later after I found this guy I figured out that where I got off the freeway to go back to make my exit was exactly 2 blocks from where I had to pick this guy up. I fought traffic for an extra 30 minutes to end up a couple blocks from where I got off in the first place. Yay! Oh well, another day in the life at China Lake.... I'm waiting to see what tomorrow has in store things can only get more fun every day till I get out of here for almost a month.
Speaking of getting out of here this also puts me a week closer to when I fly up to see my baby This is the last time I am going to get to fly up to see my fiance, any time after this will be to see my wife I know that both of us have gone through some really difficult things to get to where we are at now, and we still have a couple major things to tackle before we can actually settle down and start our lives together but we've made some of the biggest steps and the rest should just fall into place bit by bit. Right now I am hoping that it's sooner then later since I know that even though we're getting married next month it may be another 6 months or so till we can actually start living together I know in my heart that when we finally do get to this point it will all be worth it and that all the hard work and frustrations we have had along the way will seem trivial for our pay off. 14 more days till I fly

I see Felix finally took a hike after pacing for all those months... Either he remembered where he left his magic bag of tricks or his legs gave out after all that waiting... (Just a bit more to go). Take it easy until then mon frre...
