I guess that I've gotten kind of bad about updating things on the computer lately and replying to any comments that people have made in my journal. I don't know why this is but it seems to be happening a lot. Our wedding plans are going along pretty smoothly, and things are starting to finally look like they are going to fall into place. I'm sure that we will have little things here and there to take care of but I don't think that they will be anything too difficult to deal with when they do decide to show up.
I'm up for orders again, and I was told that I have to take a sea rotation. As much as I miss being on a ship and out to sea its not something I want to do right now. I think that it would be awful for whitewidow and I to get married only for me to turn around and have to get deployed or end up on a ship that has a hign operational tempo. There are platforms or units that I could get posted to that wouldn't be gone as often as a smaller ship but they have a tendency to get deployed for 6 months at a time or more depending on what missions they are assigned and right now I don't trust any of the idiots we've got that make those kinds of choices. The one option that I'm going to explore further is to extend my current tour here by a year to try and get into the advanced imaging school I was unable to earlier this year. My application was approved but there weren't any more seats available so I should be good to go if I put in for it now.
Work has been work and I've started to get more important taskings that involve all the commands that are stationed out here in China Lake. Unfotunately most of the other people that I work with don't understand or realize how much work this is and still expect me to run around changing lightbulbs and hanging pictures for them. I'm also taking over the pre-installation work for some new lab equipment we will be getting saving the clinic close to $12000 in installation costs. I don't know where they are coming up with these figures because I went down to Home Depot and priced out all the stuff I'm going to need to install the equipment and I think that it may have come to about $37.47 after taxes. I think that people don't realize that the days of billing the armed forces exorbent amounts for things are gone. Our military still has some idiots that will pay whatever it costs but for the rest of us if we can spend out budget wisely we can end up with a lot more of the things we need or should have to do our job properly. Now you know that I'm doing my part to spend your tax dollars wisely.
Till next time (I'll try and update more often) take it easy.

Glad the wedding plans are going well. It's hard enough to plan one normally, but across two national borders makes it even more so. Well, no matter what, the important thing will be that you two get married, and laugh about anything that doesn't go quite right. Something always goes wonky on the day, and for you guys I know it'll be something insignificant, and hopefuly funny.
