OK so the whole Speed Racer thing was a bad joke, no the speedo does not go that high, and yes the van is governed to 97 mph, and yes I did get a ticket. The simple fact is that after making this run week after week after week it gets pretty routine and lets face it the desert is a pretty wide open place with lots and lots of nothing all over the place. Almost everyone out here that has to make long distance drives knows that the desert is the place where you can open it up a little, just not 96 mph. So since I got caught I've got to pay the man, it's all part of the game.

Bum deal about the ticket. Any chance on getting it waved? I mean, you could just say it was government business, right? If they ask any questions, just say "I'm sorry you aren't classified to know". Ok I know that's bullshit and it would probably land you in the nasty 'ol brig, but wouldn't it be kind of fun? No? Eh. So Johnny Law finally caught up with you. At least you didn't get rear ended wile in the drive through at In-N-Out. Actually, on second thought, your situation is worse (I got away without any damage to my car, my spare tire saved me!) I knew that thing would come in handy some day...

So, what's up doc? How have things been? Any chance you'll be able to sneek down for the weekend? It would be cool if you can, but I know how it is: subject to the service of the Navy. I guess it could always be worse. Well, just thought i'd swing by to say hey. Now it's your turn.
