Procrastination is a type of behavior which is characterized by deferment of actions or tasks to a later time. Psychologists often cite procrastination as a mechanism for coping with the anxiety associated with starting or completing any task or decision.
For the person procrastinating this may result in stress, a sense of guilt, the loss of personal productivity, the creation of crisis and the disapproval of others for not fulfilling one's responsibilities or commitments. While it is normal for individuals to procrastinate to some degree, it becomes a problem when it impedes normal functioning. Chronic procrastination may be a sign of an underlying psychological or physiological disorder.
Getting a Masters is proving to be difficult. Not because the subjects are necessarily all that difficult its just some times I have the attention span of a rabbit on crack. (Insert cartoon rabbit twitching for its next fix) If I put my mind to it I usually get high A's on my papers with little effort on my part but the internet and video games are feeding me that oh so precious drug I need. And like a dealer that knows my vices its always there. Good thing I'm single cause if I wasn't i would be doing things that could lead to another form of production. As in reproduction. Or messing up the sheets.
I usually start my writing something like this and then boom I'm on track. But then i get sidetracked looking at someone's profile and then I turn on a game and then wham, four hours later and that damn paper on performance reviews and why they aren't always a good thing is slowly fading in the back of my mind. Then three hours before its due I'm going oh shit, oh fuck. Type something, god damn it!
