I woke up in a panic this morning, confused as to why my alarm didn't go off. I needed to leave for work in five minutes!! I did the whirlwind, got dressed, brushed teeth, groomed self..got in the car..

..noticed that I'm an hour ahead of schedule.

*sigh*

The upshot, though, is that today is my last day of work this week. I'm taking Thursday and Friday and Saturday and Sunday off to go see my folks. It's been since early spring that I've seen them..that's a long time, for me. I'm an only child, and my parents treated me like and adult for the most part while growing up, so after a while they stopped seeming like parents and just became a pair of friends.

I'll probably be offline until Sunday evening..they've got some mighty slowwwww dialup in the Northwoods..and I'm going to spend some time with a cup of tea on the dock, listening to loons. No computer for me, thanks.

That sounds like a great way to spend a few days right about now. I miss going out to quiet places and just enjoying being. I also enjoyed the walking and talking. Oh and no heartburn here, in fact I think they may have been the best eggs I have ever had. I dont normally eat scrambled eggs but I think I am going to pick up some of those chipotles and some goat cheese (?) and see if I can't recreate those myself. See ya soon.
