So it's now 2008. Time for one of the those reflective blogs? Yes, why not?!
2007 was one of those years that you think not much has happened, but when you think about it, a lot has actually happened. It's just unfortunate that when I think about it, the first few things I think of are bad, like my friends' moving away and having some creepy cunt think it's OK to try and shove his hand between my legs and grab what he can. To balance that crap out, I have going to Download, Give It a Name and many more music events to count on the good side of things, as well as realising I have some of the most legendary friends ever!
I ended 2007 the same way as I saw it in... Drunk and surrounded by my closest friends. It was a fun night, even though some of the details are a little hazy! Some of the photos from that night are a little too un-flattering for my taste. I must remind myself that Jack Daniels, vodka, Archers and beer should not mix on a regular basis.
My new year's resolution last year was to go to as many gigs/concerts as I could afford. Looking back through my diary, I can now reveal that I went to a total of... 25 gigs! And that's not including the 2 festivals I went to. Blimey, no wonder I'm poor at the moment! I would like to say that I've calmed down in my spending on tickets, but I've already got tickets to at least 7 shows so far this year. Oops! The best gig of 2007? Glassjaw, without a shadow of a doubt.
Have I got a New Year's resolution for 2008? Not yet, I'm still pondering that one...
