Well, I guess it's time to update the old journal.
I was walking around work this past week, and I was kind of feeling... you know, ...blah. Like a half-empty baloon or something. Everyone that had arrived here around the same time I had was doing the same number as well. I guess we were all feeling the separation from home, getting close to that year-mark, and counting down the days. Combine that with some bad news that we all got recently, and... well...
So we all decided to have a big Friday out, party it up, and then nurse the damage the next day with a nice big group dinner at one of the better restaurants of Songtan-Si, R.O.K. The dinner I can't speak for yet, since we're not eating for another 2.5 hours. As for the night out, however, that was a smashing success--seeing as how I only got out of my bed about an hour ago (2:30 PM for those not wanting to do time conversions). Smashing headache as well, unfortunately...
Aside from that, I pretty much played the hermit. I never knew how much money one could save, if they chose to just buy a bunch of groceries and do nothing but eat and play video games for a week or two. The lifestyle has its advantages, but there's no sex involved, and my ass was starting to hurt from the constant sitting/lying about.
To be continued. Errands need to be taken care of.
....next morning....
Things got a little...crazy last night.
Everything started off well enough, I guess. The aforementioned dinner was very good (Mongolian BBQ), and did much to improve my disposition. Then, of course, the club-hopping began. I started off rather slowly, mostly because of the headache still plaguing me, but everything soon spiraled out of control.
It wasn't really my fault... A bunch of pals from one of the camps up north showed up, and an otherwise quiet night out turned into another one of those festive occassions. Good times.
But anyways, that's a subject that's been featured all too often on this journal. Let's see if there was anything different about last night.
Hmmm...
We now apparently have two panhandlers working the general bar district.
And... the price of Corona has now gone up to a full 5,000 Won. Something tells me it gets cheaper the farther away you get from US military installations, though.
