Well, this new year is getting harder and harder, but at least I might be getting the worst shit out of the way early.
Too much work is flying my way, but I think I'll be able to stay afloat until March, when I should start skating downhill in anticipation of my return to the States.
One of my buddies from Bragg just showed up, which is good. I now have someone I can relate with to hang out with, and best of all he's helping me get some much needed discipline back. Less wanton drinking (which means less wanton spending
), more burnout workouts. Getting back into shape is hard, but feels great.
Playing the single game again, unfortunately, but I guess I had it coming for some time now. Not much real romance, more of inebriated attraction, and I have a feeling we were wearing thin on one another. Plus, we're both heading toward different directions soon, and she knew I wanted to go off alone. Oh well.
Looks like a rotation to Iraq might be waiting for me when I return home. I'd almost rather go to Afghanistan--less heat, and Iraq is played out already. Either way, I'll hate missing out on family for another 6 months to a year, but the job rules the life until the contract runs out.
Shit, not much of anything going on that I'd call really interesting. I think I might go buy a new digital camera and try to expand on my Korean photo collection... after the cold dies down.

Yeah, I've heard it's very tense over there - but reading about it and living it, not the same, is it? Actually, I meant in the sense of broadband/internet connections - that the difference betweeen S. Korea (specifically Seoul) and N. America in this area is huge - but you don't seem to be benefiting from this
