Urf. Finals week. Projects and papers. Two papers left is the current tally. Had to write a 10-pager on the fly and wing a presentation yesterday (thought the fucker was due next week).

Lots of things afoot at work. Speechwriting with the Mayor (and we share Mississippi connections, oddly enough), presentation for the city council next week. We don't normally work this closely with the city, but it seems like a positive partnership all around this time. Unfortunately, work may not be able to take me on full time for the summer as expected, so I may have to scour the city for a job. Bartending at a dive sounds ideal to me.

Did lots of BBQing over the holiday weekend, including an SG event at Washington Park. Saw lots of familiar faces and met some new folks. The highlight, though, was the dog extravangaza, courtesy of Tankboi's goggle-wearing Kittens, PdxMatt's mellow Belle, Ryan's lovely Lily, and (I think) London's mop Oyster.

I guess that's it, shit's kind of stagnant these days. The neighbor has some fire-ass bud, at least.....
