What a nothing night. Hell, what a nothing day. The highlights were a big brownie and a shower.
The winter doldrums seem to be settling into my system. I always get a bit down in the winter (although part of me relishes the melancholy), but this year it seems to be exacerbated by the fact that I'm 3000 miles from home and have a case of the lonelies. The few folks that I hang out with here will soon be leaving for the holidays. I knew I'd be spending my first Christmas alone this year, but I didn't know it was going to be *alone* alone. I suppose I'll get me a Charlie Brown tree to decorate my Charlie Brown life.
I think it makes my boss nervous that I like to walk around my building with my big metal letter opener. I dunno, just something satisfying about holding onto a solid piece o' steel.

Throw in the brownie and maybe it could work.
