So my kids have a crap load of gift certificates and after much delay I agree to take them to the second closest mall.
The older one wanted to go to the Palisades Mall but I wasn't driving an hour to shop, it was bad enough that I had to go shopping I wasn't driving an hour in a Hyundai with two arguing girls too!
The second closest mall was the compromise.
SO we arrive at the mall and the older one already is pissed that I didn't park in the parking garage.
OK.
We begin to walk around the mall and I tell them, "If you see a store you want to go into let me know and we'll go in." Younger one tells me what stores she wants to go in, the petulant one says "What?" I tell her again and she doesn't answer me.
We walk the ENTIRE bottom of the mall without anyone saying a word until we find the store the little one wants. We walk in, she finds an outfit we buy, we leave that store.
We get to the escalator and the older one says that she wants to go to Old Navy which is the very first store we passed. I tell her OK we'll go upstairs and walk back that way.
She's pissed.
Upstairs we find the second store the younger one wanted to go into. We walk in, she finds what she wants, we buy, we leave.
We get to Old Navy but because we're upstairs we walk into the kids section. "What the? Are we going downstairs?!?" the older ones says. "Yes, that's where your size is." I tell her trying not to be as snotty as her.
We walk around the entire store with the older one walking so close it's as if she wants to get back into the womb. I find a rack of .97 t shirts and I get a bunch.
Older one's pissed.
I walk around the store with her again, "Aren't you going to look at anything?"
"This is all ugly!"
The entire store is ugly.
I pay for my stuff.
We leave.
She wants to go to Khols which, luckily for her, is on the way home.
We get to Khols, we walk in, she's is once again walking on top of me.
I try to help, she gives me attitude.
I walk away.
She finds me.
I try to help.
She rolls her eyes.
She finds jeans, I tell her she HAS to try them on.
She's pissed.
She tries them on, they're too big.
They really aren't THAT big it's just she wants SUPER skinny but the kid weighs like 20 lbs NOTHING is super skinny on her.
She's pissed.
We walk to the shoes which is why we came to Khols because they have Converse at a discount.
Walking through the store the younger one must have bumped or pushed the older one who in turn shoved the younger causing her to fall.
I'M PISSED and I tell them to cut it out.
Was I loud?
Probably.
We get to the Converse and I say "Her are the Converse"
and the older one says "God! You're so loud! Stop talking so loud!"
Final straw, We leave.
Now, of course, the child has "NO CLOTHES" even though she did have clothes yesterday and it's all my fault.
What did you do this weekend?
