i suspect you have a little bit of this guy going on

recipe for the above above image:

take one source photo and duplicate it
make one photo a background layer. bring the alpha down to 40%
crop the front layer photo image so that only the items you want are at 100%
use the line tool to apply tasteful borders

i visited austin in january of 97, fell in love, and moved there in april. i could only deal with 2 years of that heat and humidity. if it weren't for those factors, i would have spent a much longer time there.

That's actually where the idea for that part of the script came from... I noticed that all three members of Galaxie 500 went to Harvard, and then dropped out. I'm pretty sure the Talking Heads did the same thing at RISD...

There's nothing cool about dropping out of UW-Madison, though. Goddamit.

Pete and Pete is easily the best show ever. Most people will tell you simpsons or seinfeld, but they're wrong. It's the Brother's Wigley. I mean, Iggy Pop played someone's dad.

Damn. That sucks. I was at my job for a year and then all of a sudden they enforced this new dress code. I could only wear 2 earrings (I originally wore 6 in each ear), no visible tattoos, no khaki pants, we had to wear black pants and black shoes from there on out with black socks. Oh and I couldn't dye my hair anything but a natural color (which I got around by dying it black and blonde or other versions of that). It still sucked though. But a job is a job, and if it's the only one you can find, then I guess you do kinda have to deal with it. Sorry to hear about that.
