Whoever invented January should be dragged out, drawn and quartered.....(to be honest, I have no idea what that even means; only it involves horse; and i don't think they mean foxhunting).

It's freezing cold, there's no stat holidays, and everyone is broke (and at their post-holiday chubbiest).

The only upside is the increased need for shared body heat (tip: take a pipe wrench to the thermostat if you're having problems recruiting anyone for your cuddly buddy ;-)
