The person who calls himself my best friend has decided to no longer talk to me. He said that he needs to get over his "obsession for me" and that being around me or even talking to me is not a good idea. I have tried numerous times to text him and get him to talk and even invited him to a bonfire we had last night where we paid for the alcohol. But it didn't matter to him. He's happy with his new group of friends and the fact that I told him how hurt I was didn't matter. He doesn't have any kind of "obsession" with me. He's just upset with a recent decision I made and decided to cut me out.

I hope he's happy with the decision because it's permanent.
