My goodness, would you look at the time. My membership is almost up. I'm going to let it lapse. Hand the PC and world of SG back to my wife. Afterall, SHE is the cute one.
This is turning out to be a clean weekend. I've kept saying that I would spend a raining weekend "spring cleaning". Today I've begun just that! Mundane, yes. But very gratifying!!!
I killed all our goldfish last week But I'm going to use the glass aquarium as a planter. A place for worm watching, yes? My plan is to layer rocks, glass beads, soils and organic... Read More
I have a fish bowl that's been empty for about a year. I have the glass beads on the bottom and put some dirt on the top today. Now I just need a plant!
I can't wait to be a real grown up and own a house
Ran around neighborhood this morning checking out "village making" projects. In the wee hours they were quiet, but showed signs of work-in-progress. Could be a good way of meeting like-minded folks.
Had a headache.
Took 2 aspirin. That didn't help.
Left work after a half day. Took a leisurely walk home on a nice cool afternoon. That didn't help.
Spent some meditative time pulling up weeds in our rock & pebble garden. That didn't help.
Slipped into a epsom salt filled tub of hot water and washed with Dr. Bronners. That didn't help.
My wife came... Read More
Hahahaha......my hometown is Regina.
However I live in small town outside of it now. Lots of my people are from Lebret...yes exactly like the piercing!
Observation: yesterday I was walking past a vacant storefront in downtown (used to be a licquer store). A city contractor was cleaning graffitti off the wall. In his pickup was a 5-gallon bucket with an SG sticker.
(I make no editorial comment except that i think my spelling sucks this morning)
I love the dirt. Yesterday afternoon/evening I worked feverishly for 5 hours in a dear friend's garden. She is away, visiting grandkids in Cali. Tomorrow she will return to a pretty little patch of fertile life!
Yes, I have butterflies flying around, but probalby only for a short time, considering it's practically summer here now (100-degree weather). I'd love to put in some flowers to attract them though!! That would be wonderful!! I need to go to Home Depot anyhow. I bet they'll have a similar packet of seeds there! Thank you for suggesting that!! If I could attract hummingbirds, dragonflies & butterflies to my patio, it would be like a little haven for me!! (Read my comment on starisea's last post for the details on that).
Thanks for the good thoughts!
I'm doing much better! We are doing much better.
Tomorrow will be a big gardening day. I'm really, really looking forward to it. I am resolved that even if it rains, I'll be out there. Old jeans and rubber boots. The perfect ensemble.
I was yucky, yucky sick. Saturday.
I've stressing about a terf battle that I've been trying to mediate between my wife and ex-wife concerning (on the surface) our daughter. I went to my monthly massage/bodywork today and she told me that I need to let them duke it out because it's tearing me apart. She gallantly worked for 90 minutes to untwist, unbind, unwind my... Hallo to you too! Ick, I hate people I care about fighting, or being in the middle of stuff like that. You can't really do anything when others are involved, but you care so you stress and hurt. Hope you are feeling better!
Ah Spring!
Three days of short, intense bursts of garden activity have left me exhausted. Today, a little rest, yes? Sit at my desk and put my feet up? Ah, I wish.
Yoga class this evening and then to bed. Yes.
*shudders* No thank you, no decay for me. Free my spirit to reincarnate as soon as possible please. Fire is the way that I will leave this vessel. 100%. Bugs are icky.
Hope that you are enjoying wonderful days. I'm in a delierious haze.
Ah! Saturday! Sun Dry Warm
A grand day for a jog, a mow, a bit of gardening and a walk to Stumptown to keep grounded in uplifting grounds.
Thursday I started as volunteer for Friends of Seasonal & Service Workers. A chance to "get out of myself" and meet new people and maybe do a bit of good. Plus, the long walk home will be... Read More
