I'm looking for a new job.... My telephone survey ends briefly tomorrow and opens up again in May but in the between time I'm going to be unemployed and I don't like not making money...

So I have been thinking about my job options. I need a better job. I need a better job fast! As it stand I make 10/h which is barely enough for one person. I am on the virge of collecting unemployment or welfare because of my other job that I lost well not lost I'm between assignments. But here are some other options I'm considering......

Ah, you have a conundrum. I don't know what degrees you have, or what your current job is, but if you're having trouble finding a job now I would only think going to graduate school would delay the same thing happening at a later point. It might be a little easier since it comes with more clout; I wouldn't call myself an expert, though. tongue

Have you tried searching through online jobs listings for available positions wherever you're looking to move? I really think those are very tuned towards specific fields though and might not be viable for you.

Apparently according to a friend of mine I'm spitefull to guys - perhaps that's why they run. Although I don't agree. I just want to be treated like the queen I am - that's not asking too much. biggrin

Its Friday. The weekend. I don't kno what to do with myself tonight. I havent' been in a social situation in months. i don't mind going to the bars but going alone is just well... I'm probably going to do laundry tonight as well. i look forward to relaxing on the weekends but I don't like being alone

Friday. Today I purchased the prestige on DVD. I've always had a fasacination with magic. In fact its been a small hobby of mine for most of my life. I'm going to a punk show tonight. I bought earplugs just in case. I also made 42 dollars yesterday in an econ experiment. Which was nice.

beware of running to a new place and hoping for a better life. do what you can to change your situation without having to start over. these people you sort of know--do you have any of their phone numbers? can you call them and say "listen, i was gonna go get a burger, do you have time for a quick lunch?" or something. be proactive.

also, are you in any support groups? either online or in real life? find people in similar (not necessarily the same diagnosis, but that'd be awesome) circumstances to see how other people deal. you seem like a nice kid. maybe make it clear that if anyone wants to ask questions, they can? i know you're comfortable and ok with that, but maybe they are afraid of offending you or whatnot?

in other words, since you are the one who wants things to be different, you need to be the one to make some first moves. ask people if they want to hang out. get "coffee" (i don't drink coffee so that always feels weird to say for me!). the worst thing they could say is "no." and then you ask somebody else!
