Fucksake! i hate not having access to the interweb, surely by now it has become a basic human right.
The one major pain in the ass about travelling about is never knowing if im going to have a decent connection the the net where im staying. I truly find it amazing when i ask about net access and someone says "oh we dont really bother, we hardly use it anyway" im always
aaaaaaaaaaaaanyway...........
so im in cairns, and ive just finished my open water dive course on the great barrier reef. its awesome.
the reason i had a little rant about net access is cos i have none where i am staying, and am currently sat in cairns airport (just dropped off my rental car, still staying in cairns though, its too good!) using a stupidly high priced wireless hotspot to try and catch up on everything from the last two weeks ive gone without getting online.
ive been here for two weeks, but it took me almost a full week to find a dive center that were willing to take a guy in a wheelchair diving, i practically had to perform a sit-in protest to persuade them to let me do a 5 dsay course! eventually i got things sorted out with these guys.
but its done now and it was amazing, there is no way i could of come to australia and not dived on the reef, i would of regretted it forever and ever.
once again crappy net access stops me from uploading cool pics from my latest exploits, but i will try and get them sorted out as soon as i can. ive got a particuarly cool one from when i tied a load of wieghts around the wheelchair, threw it over the side of the boat, them dived down to 18m where it sat on the bottom and had my picture taken in it next to a load of coral, haha, well it was funny at the time, now the thing is rusted up to hell and looking pretty sorry for itself.
you want to know about sharks dont you.
well they have cool sharks, ive only seen a couple
here , and they were fairly small but its cool as fuck to be swimming with sharks, even though they arent any danger, its just cool as fuck!
the reef is just amazing, i was meant to go back to sydney today, but ive decided to stay even longer and do the advanced dive course too, it allows me to dive down to 30m rather than the 18m im limited to at the moment, plus i figure that having that qulifacation will make it less of a nightmare when i want to go diving again anywhere else, i can just say "shut the fuck up about the wheelchair, im an advanced diver so just get me on the boat and stop being a pussy!". or words to that effect!
fuck, my battery is about to die, catcha later everyone,
my favourite saying at the moment, and one i am thinking of having put on my arm is:
"you walk in the garden of my turbulance"

You know, I've never thought of sharks as cute before, but now that you mention it...
