So apparently the collective consciousness thinks I should be called "Chris" today. Not one, not two, but three separate people mistakenly referred to me as "Chris" today. Not that it's a bad name, but it really isn't even close to my real name. It actually only shares one letter, "S", but is five letters long. That's something they have in common.
I don't get upset with people a whole lot if people call me by the wrong name. I'm real bad with names myself. At least they recognize me. The strange thing is that out of all the mistaken names people call me, "Chris" is by far the most common. In elementary school my best friend was named "Chris", and people often mistook us for each other, even though we look nothing alike. I guess that mistake just kind of stuck in the collective subconsciousness. Do I emit a "Chris" vibe? Do I look like a "Chris", or sound like one? Maybe the universe is telling me to rethink my given name.
