Where are you? What are you up to? Come back little sheba! smile

Hey, what happened to the quotes?

I always thought the word creepy meant scary, not sexy!

Unless you are having the time of your life (I hope you are) please come back soon! I enjoy your conversation and insight. And I oh so love to read and view your blog. o_0

well, everyone. i was too excited about posting another quote from my book, Love Letters to the Universe, that i had to cut my last entry short. so if you didn't get to read the first one or see the awesome fawn/cemetery picture i took this weekend, make sure to check out my previous entry.

here's another wonder-full quote:
We have turned our face...

dipped in dark chocolate ?
song:
white chocolate isn't bad - it's the milk chocolate i don't like. yes, zoolander is near correct ( wake me up before you go go). it's the kissing i miss most perhaps. oh and to the gentleman above me - way to sterotype America you're right sir were just a gaggle of christian fundamentalist flag waving hicks. but seriously : i'm proud of who i am and where i'm from - and i show that by questioning my government. i show my patriotism by my protests. "i love my country, by which i mean i am indebted joyfully to all the people throughtout it's history who have fought the government to make right." . . . . . then song steps of her little soapbox, and lowers her little sign.......

yes it's a poor fact how many miles away you are. but of couse that's the case.

Thinkers say it is ignorant of folks to assume that the world as we "see" it truly is as we imagine it to be out there. That is, we should understand that "reality" is simply a creation of our experience, and that without our reflection upon it, there would be no it. But isn't it profoundly arrogant to say that our limited experiences make up...

Off course we must strive to understand.

I like just feeling too.

Look forward to the next quote smile

If only someone could have videotaped me writing that post. I bet it took me 1/2 hour. I was over a quart of gin into 'er by that time.

My son stuck the car in his hair for free. He didn't get on tv, he just got on SG. He has no 'off' button.

My wifes Uncle works with money. That's all I can say. Before that, he...um...lets just say 'he knows very important people'

And, I'm only hypersensitive with you. jerk.

Thank you all for counseling me on how not to live in the past, but the truth of the matter is, I was just digging for something to post. I think all of my inspiration juices are too busy stewing on other projects, so I just have the grainy stuff that's leftover to share with you guys. Sorry - it's not that I don't value...

Damn, that's interesting. Does it actually teach one how to think without thinking?

I do intend to take some of those tests today at work, along with some people who I think could really use an eye-opening look at their self-righteous selves (uh, me included).

Weird, I just wrote a rather convoluted entry on perception.

I tend to think of myself as sexual though aside from inappropriate contact with a penis when I was little, I've only had an emotional relationship with a gay friend of mine. However, I recently watched the HBO series SIX FEET UNDER which has gay characters. I actually found myself wincing in the beginning, with all the kissing and such. However, as the episodes continued it became more and more familiar to me. I imposed less judgment upon it. So I guess that would fall into the category of change through things I associate with regularly.

Can't wait to see what I really think.

Hi!

I wound up here because Song told me I had to. And what she says, I do.

I really love your self-shot picture entitled "boots" -- sometimes I wish we had a section on here for Favorite Member Pictures.

Temp life is hectic. I'm only getting short term temp jobs, so I never know if I'm going to have something, and I know it's all really temporary. If I could land a long term temp job, I'd be happy, but no one ever gets past the looking at my resume stage. Overall, though, temp work has its perks. People might be mean to you because you're "just a temp," but you only have to deal with them for a short time. It's best to get along with people, but if someone sucks, just smile and know you get to get away from them soon. wink

Congratulations, and thanks for the happy news! Being in an "unofficial" ("unmarried", or common law, more precisely) relationship for 12 years, I like your take on marriage. No, I love it. It's even got me thinking about things... Not just the (very important) legal ramifications, but the personal dimension as well... "Nothing will change..." I say amen! You've really made me night a whole lot better. Thanks and congrats! I'll write more soon...

I find something about this upsetting: the fact that old women everywhere are shelling out good money for red hats and clashing purple clothing simply because they clash when these same grey-hairs should be investing in bird feeders, a few extra pairs of bifocals to lose, and, hell, a couple of painted miniature ponies for the grandkids. And it's all because of some old...

Why are they called 'Canadian geese'? They don't have to pass through customs when they cross the border. yet.

Hopefully when you go to the mountains you won't have to deal with the mosquitos that I battle with every day over here. Crikey!!

i like spunk in women - they seem empowered to me. I haven't come from another universe - well at least not that I know of. I just found you, and my eye was caught. I find people who are art mongers to generally be pretentious - but i choose to shut that out. When I go to look at art in a gallery i just put on my horse blinders so to speak. . . . . yep sure i'm speechless but i picked you this bouquet blush

Excellent article! I can see why they gave you the cover story! You should be very proud of yourself!! Art vs. Art sounds like an interesting event, I'd love to check it out sometime.
Is your fridge from the 70s? That looks like the very popular at that time "avocado" green to me. smile
I had some delicious spinach stuffed naan bread this weekend! yum!

Okay, enough about masturbation already! I have a story...

I called the cops on my neighbors last night. But I don't think that makes me a bad person. We live in an apartment house amidst single-family houses. After close to two years here, we still haven't been able to figure out the deal with our neighbors to the south - one sixty-something old guy who...

When ratting out frat boys the only thing to feel bad about is that you didn't do it sooner... wink

Living in NYC, it's fucking impossible to not be surrounded by at least a couple noisy neighbors. The last really awful ones we had were indeed college boys that probably weren't in a frat (they went to art school) but they might as well have been. I was constantly getting into it with those guys, and then they always managed to make it look like I was being a downer. Grrrrrrr! mad

Okay, since the joke at the bottom of this post is so damn boring and old, Afterbirth, I'm going to give you all the news I was trying to hold out on:
Namely, I just scored the cover story for the May 31st issue of our local free-thinking newsweekly! On a relative scale, it's not that exciting. On my scale, it's big BIG...

I'm pretty sure that most stolen robin's eggs are the result of industrious crows. I'm glad that you thought 4 eggs looked odd. I did too.

What do you mean you have to take pictures to get over the kitten killing talk?

Masturbating a bit too much lately perchance?
afterbirth:
I never call my mom, cause she talks too much too!
And it's always negative.
The other day she was telling me about her trip to see my grandmother on mother's day, and she told me some stuff and then actually said "Hmm, I guess that's all the bad stuff I can think of that happened".

Meaning she was done with her side of the story.

surreal

I have always dreamt of armageddon - no recurring plots or themes, but a familiar tangible dread that it is The End. Sometimes I am the only one to know, and other times the world crumbles under our feet. Once, it came to me in the glitch of a televised basketball game, everyone watching uncomprehending, as the screen went to snow...

Actually I made and refined that list at work.
A coworker and i were wondering one day if we even liked 100 bands, so we decided to find out...

Actually, his #1, The Doors, didn't even make it onto my list!

He's quite the pretty one.

And thanks for your short essay on sucking. It made me laugh. You truly do rock. kiss
holagatita:
Hey, sorry, I've been kind of absent, I haven't been on SG much this last week! I was just looking back at some of your other trip pictures, what an amazing time you must have had!! I toured Italy in '97, but I didn't get to see Cinque Terre which I REALLY wanted to see!! And that town Cassis in France sounds amazing! I really love birch trees and lavendar and who doesn't like half naked, impeccably bronzed French folks? smile
The coconut ice cream sounds to-die-for, I would have to break down and try a bite.

When I was in Spain I was looking for a "no a la guerra" t-shirt, but I couldn't find one. frown
I'm happy that you were able to score one though!!!
And I missed out on a flamenco concert too, although we had been hoping to squeeze one in! We were so busy in Madrid and Barcelona, and then we went up to the Northern Coast to El Sardinero in Santander, and I liked it there sooooo much that we ended up staying for four nights. We had this really great, cheap room (it was off-season), that was on the fourth floor of a seaside hotel that had this great view of the ocean and promenade!!! We did a bunch of side trips from there, but it was so nice to just relax someplace beautiful with almost zero Americans.
Okay, back to work for me! Hope you're well!
