I need a good quality camera. I see so many things everyday that would make awesome photos but I don't have a good enough camera to really capture things the way I want to. Too bad I didn't have one on New Years Eve to take pictures of my husband in drag. The only camera anyone had was a disposable one, so I doubt I'll ever be able to post any of his pics that night on the net. I would have sent them to anyone I've ever met.
Anyone know of a good quality digital camera for a beginner under or around $200?
I also want photoshop. I saw one on amazon.com for like $30 and I thought it had to be an add on or some kind of photoshop expansion pack, but I didn't see anything in the reviews or description that suggested it was. Most of the photoshop software I've seen is either around $90-$100 or $500 or more. I don't know if the less expensive ones are worth wasting my money on if they're extremely sub-par to the more expensive versions but I'm probably going to use it mostly to make funny/stupid comments to post on my husband's Myspace page. Then again I don't know if I want to spend $100 just to mutilate pictures of my husband cause I'm bored. Right now I just use paint, but I'm not very coordinated with the mouse so my pictures look like a 5 year old made them.
I need to go look for a job. Seriously. I'm so bored all of the time. I'm used to working 50 hours or more a week but I haven't worked in over 2 months. The one good thing that's come out of me quitting my job is that I get to spend more time with my husband and my son, Ian.
I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror this morning and my hair is rockin' right now. I took a shower right before I went to bed last night and because my hair is kind of short right now and naturally thick and curly, it dried pretty much how I slept on it:
This is the most awsome it's ever looked. I don't need lots of product, my hair naturally defies gravity.
Because my son is a camera whore and every time I take out the camera he makes me take his picture, here are a few of him that I just now took, peanut butter-jelly face and all:

You can look at Gimp a program just as powerful to use as Photoshop and it's free, or less expensive programs like Corel's Paint Shop Pro which is real nice. I use it often for simple things. Or just go for the whole illegal route to get photoshop like some people do.
If we had known one another sooner I could have told you about the job opening we had at work for a secretarial position. It's filled now, buy someone who is a complete waste of time, and she's going to get fired soon, and now we're looking for a vinyl production person / installer helper.
Photoshop is a whole skill set that would require time to master. If you are into that, then go for it. However, most of us don't have the time (or patience) so something easy might be better. Go to your local computer store and look in the bargain bins for something. Or, try finding something online that has a trial period to see if you like it, or better yet, that is free.
