....ack ...think i mighta missed the window of proper recollection
lessee...
the night started off with two bottles in tow ...one of whiskey and the other of chile verde I made from my garden's offerings earlier that afternoon. I wound up in town earlier than expected and headed over to check in on a friend whose back was ailing and keeping him from going out to have fun. Strangely though, once I arrived, he proceeded to pack bowl after bowl after bowl in his bong before challenging me to play him on his ps3 with those trippy glowing motion sensor things. Feeling more than humbled to have my ass handed to me by a gimp, i said ta-ta and headed over to a party i should have been at about three or four bong hits earlier.
The party was well in swing when i got there, but sadly the tamales for which i brought the chili sauce, were pretty much gone (ah well, more sauce for me). Being as high as I was, it was pretty surreal wandering through the crowd of costumed partyfolk. Myself, i had little in way of a costume beyond a pair of groundscored wacky elton-john-esque sunglasses, but the host told me in advance not to worry ...she has plenty o' things in her closet to dress me up with (was really rather hoping she might dress me down, but I digress). So dress me she did. I gave her the bottle of whiskey, as I think one ought do for a host, and she set me up with some rabbit ears and a choker chain n leash ...and then things started to get fuzzy ...and not just because of the ears ...or maybe it was ...but i think the various imbibing agents, the rain, the bonfire out back, the crowd, their costumes and the air of a pre-halloween saturday night were more squarely to blame for the raucous good time that followed.
I wound up waking in a cozy room full of... well, peeps far younger than I who were coming down from some psychedelic or another ...but they were a kind and friendly bunch ...covered me with blankets and snuggled me up to keep me warm.
The drive home at 9am was a little rough ...no, really rough ...but i remember remembering more than I do now and feeling quite pleased with myself .
..but, trick or treating with the kids later that evening was an entirely different sensation

I believe I enjoy your writing far more than my being able to write. I believe that we should be mates.
