... alright, good day!!


it seemingly took just about fucking forever, but that little building finally has a solid coat of tinted primer on it. The last hour or so were done with supplemental lighting and a sizable dose of "using THE FORCE", but it's green, dammit. Sadly, I'm on for getting my kids tomorrow, so I can't plug in much more until next week ...would be so nice to get the final coats on and the trim painted before the big to-do, but it is what it is.

So crazy seeing the neighborhood transform ...and crazier still, being a part of it.

I clocked in about ten hours today, then went out for food and pints with my pal for whom I'm painting. We ran into an old girlfriend of mine who just rolled into town from sanfran ...cool connecting with her. I'm home now, and kicking myself for not realizing there was no beer or cider in the fridge, so i'm down to raiding my kids' stash of grapefruit Juice Squeezee and mixing it with cheap whiskey in order to celebrate a milestone of accomplishment ...albeit alone (a thought that is apparent after seeing how good the old GF is looking). Still, I'm happy, tanned and speckled with goofy green-tinted primer ...and pumping my itunes with gifted music la Truckstop Honeymoon (via yet another sort of old girlfriend ---guess that's a good thing I'm on good terms with so many old flings?)

well, would love to chat with y'all, but nobody seems to like staying up late ..ya old geezers!
