shit, i guess it's damn near time for me to crawl outta my cave and come be social.

summer seems to be about half gone already. Next year i'm taking a different tack. This year, like so many others, i worked too damn much on projects that weren't fulfilling and just found myself grumpy and resentful by the time it was done ...such a waste of time and energy.

4am is stepping up the walkway here ...like summer, this day got away from me, too ...been playing catch-up with the gardens and yard and chickens and vacuuming. It's coming around ...and starting to feel like home again rather than just "that place where there's all that shit-to-do".

I finally cut off the gardener from getting naked with me ...something i've been intending to do for a while now, i know, but well, it's not always easy to turn away a little nookie after a few crazy days of working ...even when I know better. But now, things have settled down in the work realm and I've begun to reclaim my wits. I'm happy to reclaim some space, mental and otherwise, and I wish her well in her sensual endeavors.

not too much else new, really ...the garden is kicking ass despite an assault of nutria whilst i was out of town for a spell ...kids are awesome ...sunshine rocks ...as does my hammock
