Hey there, it's been a while. I just can't seem to get too excite about coming here lately- it just looks too wierd.

I had a great Birthday last weekend, I went camping with my family(ended up in the site next to a large group of strippers from a bar in Portland that I won't name-they were very loud and a lot of fun) and...

Happy Belated Birthday, man. Sorry I missed it. (I cannot make, erm, "heads or tails" of this new SG format, either. Dislike it, meself, too.)

As to the lost threesome opportunity: unfortunate, but perhaps not. As with much in life, the fantasy is typically better than the reality.

Ciao!

Ah, yes...Stumptown. Always a smile at the ready. smile

Thanks for the kind words, monsieur. I missed the sailors AND the ferris wheel, it is true!

(Yes, the new format here is a tad, um, precious, isn't it? Rather too pink and "myspacey" for my taste. Bah. Still, I persist.)

This week marks the 25th anniversary of the first documented case of Aids.

In June 1981, the CDC published a report about the occurrence, without identifiable cause, of a rare lung infection Pneumocystis carinii pneumonia in five men in Los Angeles.

Because there was so little known about the transmission of what seemed to be a new disease, there was concern about contagion, and whether...

One of my favorite songs in the world is Hurt by Trent Reznor-only I change a few words to better suit me. Sing along with me if you know the tune(how could you not)

I hurt (you) today
to see if I still feel
I focus on the pain(that I cause)
the only thing that's real
the (whip) tears a hole
the old familiar sting...

My friends list keeps changing. So I have to spend time going through it to make sure no one has dropped off. It's usually because certain unnamed/(unnameable?) persons keep changing their names, but I can see at least one person who dropped off-I never know if I should take it personally or not. Whatever...

Very busy weekend planned (check events for info), and now I'm...

Sometimes I think we're alone. Sometimes I think we're not. In either case, the thought is staggering.
- R. Buckminster Fuller

This quote really hit home for me. I remember how devistating it was when I finally admitted to myself that didn't actually BELIEVE in God anymore. That was a real tough time for me, trying to figure out all the existential/philisophical shit without being...

Wow, I'd need 9.7 planets, but I dont really see how, since I live fairly moderately, only have a motorcycle, and really only leave my computer on as far as power consumption goes.

Thanks for the birthday blessing, Monsieur DeSade.

My six year old got a letter from a girl in his class yesterday. Two pages. First page is partially crossed out but still readable, a big heart with a crying face drawn on, it says
"I am sad
I think of you
when I think of you
I think of you
like a Man
when I think of you"

Second page is happy heart...

Took my kids out to Sushi Takahashi on Wendsday, their first time for sushi, and they LOVED it. The waitress was nice enough to circle all the vegitarian ones for us, so that made it a lot easier.

Had an appointment to get my taxes done on Thursday, I still don't have all the numbers she needs, but it looks as though I only owe...

Well, a few, wee hearty flowers -- mostly bulbs, such as daffodils, crocuses, etc. -- have struggled their way out of the hard-pack ground. Not many though, sadly. 'Bout the only thing you find in abundance along the side of the road here is dog shit. Since it rarely rains, the stuff just sits there, baking in the sun. Just pile upon pile, mound upon mound, of petrified dog shit.

*sigh*

Can you tell I miss Portland??

Sushi! Yum! Introducing the kiddies to the "finer things" at an early age, eh? Well done. smile
