I remember I had hit a point after a majore relationship and it took to long to get over. but once I did and started meeting new friends in NYC after knowing no for a few years here my life just exploded with new people and expiriences. It can really be a wonderfull thing taking your life and goals back and reaching for new dreams.  Sounds like you are off on an adventure.
