This has really been bothering me for awhile now. I need to say something about it.
What the fuck is wrong with our species?
Any time someone comes along, preaching peace, equality, freedom, happiness, fucking getting along with each other, someone either tries to kill him/her or succeeds in killing him/her. It's fucking awful.
For example, John Lennon. The guy was all about peace and getting along and being happy with both our similarities and differences. He was all about us loving each other and being happy. What happens? He's murdered.
Or Martin Luther King Jr. All the guy wanted was equality between the races and peace among us all. He wanted us to love each other despite our skin color and just be happy as one people, light, dark, and tan. What happens? The guy is murdered.
Or Bob Marley. Yeah, I know he wasn't assassinated. But there was an attempt. The guy was all about freedom and justice and equality. What happens? Just because he's preaching at a rally in an election, he's nearly assassinated.
Or Bobby Kennedy. He was a good guy. He was going to make some real changes in the government (good ones too). He was all for equality and harmony within our system. But no, we don't like that. He's gunned down in a fucking kitchen.
Or Annie Mae Aquash. She was a micmac woman who was teaching about freedom for the Native Americans in America, during the 70s, during American Indian Movement (there was one of those, believe it or not, just like the Civil Rights Movement). She wanted equality and better living situations for the Native American people. Apparently, she became too much of a threat for the government, and they killed her. Shot her between the eyes and then chopped off her hands, to hide finger prints.
Fuck, even as far back as Jesus, and farther! Jesus was about peace and love and equality among all people, Jews and Gentiles (that's anyone who's not a Jew, for those that don't know). So what do they do? They kill him too.
It's like we're happy with hating each other. Like we want to have all these problems, hatreds, evils. Like we want death for each other, for the stupidest fucking things none the less, and whoever is opposed that is killed.
I mean, even dogs know when they have a good leader. They keep him alive if he's leading them in the right direction. The only time they would kill or usurp him is if he's not doing his job anymore or if dies of other causes (then it's necessary to find another leader). But oh no, not us. People who have genuinely good ideas, people who could help us find that which could potentially make us a great people, are killed, murdered, or at least get an attempted suicide attempt.
I mean, what the fuck?! What the hell is wrong with us? We are an evil species. Evil. I sometimes wonder if it'd be the best for the whole planet if we just all died off.
I watched something on John Lennon earlier, so I'm a little PO'd. Not to mention, I'm listening to Ani DiFranco so I'm feeling kind of political.
On the upside, I get to see my puppy tomorrow!! I need to take pictures of him. I need a digital camera first, but whatever.

What do I want to know about you? I saw all your posts where you're quite hard on yourself for your looks. I think you look great. So, is it depression talking?
What are you taking in university?
What kind of work are you looking for?
What kind of writing do you prefer to do? You should share some with us. I'd love to read it.
And speaking of sharing, please post more pictures of yourself. You might not want to date yourself, but I would. You look wonderful. The picture of you in the back of the car - you're beautiful!
I have really poor self-image too, so I know some of those feelings. I'm fat, ugly, and why in the world would anyone want to be around me, let alone date me. So I know how that goes.
As long as you know there are people out there who think you're pretty hot. I know there must be someone out there for me. Of course, she probably lives on the other side of the planet, which is no good. But that's the cynical me slipping out.
