well today I turn 39 and it's cool..I have a home and food and an incredibly smart, pretty girl who wants to marry me .. It's funny that when i was 20 or so I just could not imagine after how much I changed year to year that those same seismic personality shifts wouldn't continue as the norm and what kind of person would I be at 30 or 40....but it didn't happen. By 1986 I was 21 and had left pittsburgh for N.Y.C., I had left high school for college at 16, so I was close to a degree and had been playing in local hardcore bands when I was asked to move and join agnostic front . After that, I stayed in New York, played in other bands went back to college..there were lovers and broken hearts...and beer and Jaegermeister became a little heroin...then a lot heroin and not much else.... then methadone.... then I finished treatment in Dallas, TX and ended up General Manager of a 3 1/2 star restaurant for about 10 years....I have accrued things and lost them all....Built friendships that have changed when I've moved.....been high-paid and been homeless.....and gone from the youngest in my family to being an only child as the same disease has taken my dad and all my siblings....The strange thing is that one of the few constants is the music I loved then still moves me now... for 25 years the underground (for lack of a better word) remains a haven...so don't be too quick to judge the old people at shows...most of us built the foundation for what you have now........

You're such an awesome guy!! Thank you so much for coming out tonight, it was great seeing you two again. I wish I would of talked more, but I had to get my dance on. If I wasn't going to be busy packing Sunday I would definately go to the Distillers with you. Have a kick ass time!!
