Well, I finally told Mom that I wasn't going back to school. Of course, I didn't tell her until the day that I should have started school, but that's beside the point. She didn't try to convince me that I was ruining my life, however, her instinctual reply was, "Well, you're going to have to find a job." Biting my tongue and avoiding saying, "no...

Thank you sexy...wish I could curl up next to you and have a *really* great birthday

Wow, things are a little more than moderately crazy right now. I'm having a good time. Right now my highest priority is trying to decide what interim job to take (meaning, a crappy job to tide me over until I find a job I actually want). Otherwise, I'm just falling into the Delawarean swing of things-- I spent a couple of hours this afternoon scrubbing...

Hey there!!! I am in the middle of making dinner...but I will be on later this evening probably after 9 or so...chat with ya then...
Yeah I can sympathize with the *mother* issue...my mother is the Queen of, "well if you would have done this or that...then your life would be better." We have to get together and have a bitch session sometime...he he he. Love my Mom to death but she is very judgemental & overbearing...

I thank you all muchly for the birthday cheer.
My birthday, while stressful, turned out to be totally awesome. I went to a concert in DC with some friends (ThouShaltNot, Ego Likeness, and Voltaire). Since it was my birthday, there was a fair amount of celebratory drinking for my having survived another year. I got picked up by a cute girl. That was cool... I'd...

Bugger - I missed your birthday. Happy Birthday, spunk!

I have re-located across the country.
I am still completely unsure of the world and everything in it, including where I will be sleeping tomorrow night and the night after and so on. However, I know that what worldly possessions I could bring with me will be safe here should I decide to become a gypsy, circus performer, itinerant wanderer, crackwhore or otherwise.
The drive...

The world is a vampire or somesuch.
I am moving.
I am giving up Tucson.
I hate it too much.
Yay!
If I ever resurface... it will likely be on the 4th or after.

I'm reading a book right now called "The End of Gay (and the death of heterosexuality)" by Bert Archer. Basically he's calling out all identity categories as utter bullshit. The whole, "I don't call myself anything. I just am" game. I've been straight, lesbian, bisexual, queer, questioning, gender confused, you name it, I've tried it, and I swear I don't fit anywhere. I'd like to hear another serious student's (who identifies as something other than 'heterosexual') opinion on this. Check the book if you get the time.

huh get back here soon damn you

Tell me something-- why does a one way flight cost almost as much as a roundtrip one? I dislike airlines mightily right now. As it stands, I can almost rent a car for a month for the price that it is going to cost me to go home and other places in a couple weeks. So, is it worth adding an extra ten days to...

It costs the same because airlines think they're going to lose money on a one-way ticket. The theory is that if you only go one way, who's going to fill the seat on the way back??? I know, either they're stupid or I'm way off.
Drive. I drove from Anchorage to Hampton, VA in 2001 and loved every minute of it. In fact, I'll be driving from KY back to Anchorage in January. That is going to rock.

Dear Circuit City,
Thank you for disrespecting me and calling me a liar for 45 minutes. I assure you that, just because something is against company policy doesn't mean it doesn't happen. Additionally, any associate will lie to you to save his/her own ass. Don't call me a liar, because it makes you look that much stupider when you finally realize that I'm telling the...

actually here in saskatchewan hot is very different then anywhere else...there aren't many good looking people anywhere so even the average looking ones get 'hot' cause well there isn't anything to compare them too...as for you, next to you no other girl has a chance of being hot..
I'd like to say that people who are nice and fun and pretty make the world a better place. North Carolina, while sweltering, was quite enjoyable. I saw Fahrenheit 9/11 and Coffee and Cigarettes, explored the mall that was likened to DisneyWorld, saw (with extreme nightvision) Duke Gardens, drove around Durham and Chapel Hill quite lost, and so much more.
There is so much to...

ya I normally LOVE storms, I used to work in a control tower and we would get some of the best lightning storms here so I would go watch them from the control tower. But this one was different because well, as I was driving I couldn't see the road and the hail was HUGE...all I kept thinking was I was going to wreck the car, but truth be told...I did love being out in it...

squishylizards:
glad that you had a good trip!
you gonna come to roller derby?

Yay. North Caronlina has weather and trees and grass and smells and clouds! I'm such a happy kitty right now. I don't ever want to go back to Tucson!

ya I live in the Canadian midwest and it is horrible. I grew up in cottage country for Toronto...my back yard was a huge forest my front yard had a HUGE pond with a big island all to ourselves...it was great. Since then my parents moved to Nova Scotia and its so hard leaving the lakes and oceans to come back to dry wheat fields
I do feel your pain.
